Cups

We are extremely lucky to have a large collection of trophies up for grabs throughout the year through the clubs points competition. Many of the trophies have been donated over the years by long standing supporters of the club for which we are extremely grateful. Throughout the year members attending competitions can collect points according to their placing and discipline completed. At the end of the season point sheets are submitted to compete for a number of trophy's presented at the annual dinner each November. No matter how small the points collection we urge everyone to have a go as the chance of leaving the Dinner with a trophy and an armful of rosettes is high.

Each year NESHPES presents rosettes to a number of Agricultural Show's given to a member either Champion and Reserve in the Highland pony section. 2007 rosettes:

Our perpetual trophies presented to the 2007 Winners at the Annual Awards Dinner were:

The Whitehead Trophy - The first trophy to be presented to the club by the Whitehead family from Aberdeen. Donated through their involvement with highland ponies and presented in memory of “Blue Boy” whom they lost to Grass Sickness.

The Donald Gunn Memorial Trophy - Presented by NESHPES to be won by the member accumulating most points In-hand with an individual pony at Royal Northern Spring, Fettercairn, Echt, New Deer, Banchory, Turriff, Keith, Tarland and Aberdeen Highland Pony Show.

The McNair Plate - Presented by Dr and Mrs McArdle to be won by member gaining most points with an individual pony in all performance awards.

The Denmill Tankard - Presented by Dr and Mrs McArdle to be won by member gaining most points with an individual pony In-hand.

The Baker Trophy - Presented by Mr and Mrs Baker to be awarded to member gaining most points with a registered part red Highland.

The Sinclair Trophy - Presented by Mr and Mrs Sinclair to be awarded to Junior (under 18) member gaining the most points throughout the year exhibiting a registered Highland Pony.

NESHPES Cup - Presented by the committee to the individual rider showing most improvement.
